Mission

The Mission of Heritage Training and Career Center (HTCC) is to provide training and assistance for low-income individuals who lack adequate skills to achieve economic independence, as well as to promote self-sufficiency through training, work experience, supportive services and job placement.

 

Vision

The Vision of HTCC is for all Alabamians to reach their maximum potential through active participation in a system of quality services and opportunities that enable them to make informed and responsible choices, acquire critical and marketable skills and be a healthy and caring member of their community.

 

Population Served

Programs and services are provided to individuals residing within low-income communities throughout a four-county target are. Communities served include Autauga, Elmore, Macon and Montgomery counties.

Heritage Training and Career Center in Montgomery, Alabama, offers programs and services to individuals living in low-income communities throughout a four county target area. We serve the communities of Autauga, Elmore, Macon and Montgomery counties. At Heritage Training and Career Center we are using Literacy as a bridge to hope. Literacy is a platform for a better tomorrow. For everyone, everywhere, literacy is, along with education in general, a basic human right. Literacy is the road to human progress and the means through which every man, woman and child can realize his or her full potential. Our vision is for all individuals to reach their maximum potential through active participation in a system of quality services and opportunities that enable them to make informed and responsible choices, acquire critical and marketable skills and be a healthy and caring member of their community.
